This is a new expression of church on an estate on the north side of Walsall. It started with simple acts of kindness through our Dial-a-Friend. The first contact was to move some furniture for a single mum. Within a couple of years we started a Kidz Klub in the Dartmouth Centre and visiting each child's home every week. Later we added a Community Breakfast for parents that runs alongside the Kidz Klub.
There have been a number of extras to these key programmes. We hold Christmas meals and summer BBQs. Positive Parenting, Journeys, Alpha, Keeping Safe and other courses run when appropriate. We continue to give regular help and support culminating in an annual week of 'The Works' in August. Now two cells meet each week in Coalpool.

This is a high-octane programme for children. It runs from 10.00am - 11.00am on Saturdays during term time. The hour is packed with competitions, singing, messy games and stories. Every week each child's home is visited with fun sheets to be completed and an invitation to the next Kidz Klub or other events. Transport is provided to bring in children from other areas of Walsall with up to eighty children attending. Each term there is a 'best behaviour' trip and children can earn prizes for participating in a number of ways.
January 2010 marks the 10th anniversary of Kidz Klub - watch out for announcements of special events.

Originally conceived as a place for parents to stay while their children were in Kidz Klub, this is now a major project in its own right. It runs at the same time as Kidz Klub in another part of the Dartmouth Centre. A free, 'Full English' with time to chat - you can guarantee a good turn out!
We have started a Carer & Toddler group in co-operation with Coalpool Methodist Church, meeting in their building in Coalpool Lane. The group currently meets on Wednesdays (term time only) 9.30-11.30am. New members are welcome; there is a small charge.

Every summer a team of up to eighty members spends a week working in Coalpool. We do 'the works' - children's activities, games, gardening, decorating, praise meetings, rubbish removal, BBQs, a parade..... A lot of hard work and a lot of fun!
We welcome helpers from churches across the country. For details of The Works 2010, contact Sarah at kidzklubwalsall@hotmail.com

Tuesday, 25th November 2008 - Chocolate Fondue Party
We now have cells meeting and functioning on the Coalpool estate. The activities are very varied but reflect our belief that People Are Important.

"Nah i don't think anyone's interested in my back..... :P ok you've twisted my arm, as Steve said everyone prayed for me, i was still in quite a bit of pain that night, i went to bed not really hoping to get any sleep, but i did go to sleep, early for me to lol, i woke up yesterday morning and started to edge my way out of bed as the pain kicks in as soon as i wake up, then i noticed i couldn't actually feel any pain, so i sat up on the end of the bed and tentatively stood up still no pain, just a little niggle in my back and as the morning went on i didn't even get the niggle anymore, so praise the lord eh... and thank you all for caring enough to pray for me xx"
